KID MINISTRIES

Children's Sunday School

Using interactive and cooperative learning as designed in the Rotation Model ages K-7th grade will be studying “The Covenant” this year in Sunday School. This theme is woven throughout the scriptures. Starting with Noah and Abraham, we witness a special relationship between God and all of humankind. The descendents will be known as God’s people, receiving the Ten Commandments as the law of the Covenant. Jesus comes to life among humankind to be the fulfilled Covenant in our midst. He lives out the demands of the Covenant, to love the Lord with all one’s heart, soul and strength. The Covenant is now between individuals and God. Please join us!

Confirmation Class for the 8th Graders. This study begins with “What We Believe” and then continues with “What We Commit To and How God Uses Us”. It will consist of a special service project, field trip to Jewish synagogue and a Catholic Church.

Sr. High (9-12th) This curriculum applies the Bible to real-life issues that teens face in the secular world.  Interesting class activities stimulate teens to conduct self-examination, think about serious issues, make value judgments, and apply Biblical principles to real-world situations.

Children’s Worship

Come and worship…come and worship. Come and worship…Christ the newborn King!

Children ages 4–7 have the opportunity to attend Children’s Worship. Children begin worship in the sanctuary with the adults and then continue onto the Children’s Worship room.  This room is painted and decorated to simulate the sanctuary of the church. The leader lights the Christ candle, the children sing songs about Jesus, recite the Lord’s Prayer, have the opportunity to give an offering and sing the Doxology, hear a sermon/story, review their weekly bible verse, pray, and complete a response activity.  The Old and New Testament sermons, taught by loving volunteers, are given in child friendly terms that are very visual and interactive.
