Philosophy of Ministry I believe that Christian ministry is basically a ministry of the Gospel. The Gospel is the good news that, though our relationship with God is destroyed by our sin, God restored that relationship through the ministry, death, and resurrection of His Son Jesus. Everything that I do as a pastor—and that the Church does as the Body of Christ—should be grounded in that wonderful truth. True Christian ministry involves three basic components:
1 – Proclaiming the Gospel by calling all people to turn from sin and return to God in faith and worship.
2 – Encouraging believers to grow in the Gospel by mutually caring for each other and challenging each other to be faithful and obedient.
3 – Living the Gospel in the world through acts of compassion, hospitality, and generosity towards others in Christ’s name.
